Alright, folks, so I pulled the trigger on a 2024 Honda Pilot TrailSport. The grand total? $48,800 out-the-door. Yeah, yeah, it's Delaware. DMV prices and all. But here's my burning question: Did I just pay a luxury price for a glorified minivan, or are there better deals hiding somewhere?

I mean, who doesn't love the thrill of handing over a small fortune for four wheels and an air freshener? So, I'm tossing this out to you fine internet detectives. what's the deal in DC, Maryland, Virginia? Any "special connections" or haggling tricks that scored you a lower price?

For science (and my fragile ego), let me know your damage.

$48k OTD for a TrailSport isn't terrible in today's market, but yeah, it's definitely creeping into "am I secretly driving an Acura?" territory. The DMV area can be hit or miss because, some dealers love their markups, while others will play ball if you push hard enough. But hey, at least you got the trailSport, not just another pavement princess. So… minivan or not, you'll at least look ready to hit the trails I guess

Good price for me. Its just a matter of satisfaction bro, I just hope it wasnt your entire savings. There will always be better deals out there but the problem is the reach, it won't magically just come to you. You already have it, enjoy it. Safe travels.

hahaha it's fine to see the pilot that way because it isn't really cheap, but it's not a glorified minivan. you know that for sure. better deals are done with secondhands but all in all there isn't really much you can do at a place with a high cost of living.

That price isn't crazy if you include taxes, dealer fees etc. baked in. So no, you didn't overpay. Congrats by the way :)

I'm in new jersey, and basically it's the same price here for the 2024 Honda Pilot TrailSport
